Not sure what type of glue you mean, but mine has removed some pretty sticky or dried on stuff that resembled how glue would be. If you use the highest steam setting and let the unit hover over the area for a minute, then do repeated passes, it should come up. The mop also has a scrubber you can engage simply by using your foot. Handy for linoluem or tile...not sure I'd trust it on hardwoods.
