“Can the Bissell ProHeat2X Revolution be used on a shag area rug?”

• I used it on my Walmart $70 8x10 shag carpet. No issues whatsoever and I’m sure since it’s a cheaper rug there would have been chances of fraying but absolutely no issues for me.

• I doubt it since the suction is very strong. It pulled up the edges on my carpet and I was shocked. I'm going to assume it might come apart if used on a shag area rug.
