Can this model clean carpeted stairs? null

Yes, there is a "stair"tool that you can get on Amazon inexpensively and it does a nice job

I found out later that there is an attachment that must be bought separately that can clean carpeted stairs. This is available through the Bissell website. I solved this problem short term by using the one provided attachment to spray the steps and the second provided attachment that has a brush to scrub then to extract the fluid from the carpet.
