• Actually not much at all -- much less than it did when using my larger Bissell vacuum, and I have a cat and a dog.

• The Bissell ReadyClean Cordless Upright stick Vacuum contains directions upon purchase. Additionally, you can sign up for the warranty. Also, depending on where you purchase your vacuum, some places come with purchase protection, and Bissell has a website for ordering additional parts I'm sure. Inquire within.
