• No you would have to turn it off to reset the unit so that you could select a single brew size. these buttons are turned off and unavailable when in pot brew mode. Good question and so I actually had to try it for you to see what would happen as you usually are either having a pot of coffee or a cup but not both lol In pot mode the single serving buttons / mode is not available unless you cycle the power which then the single serving mode is available but the warmer plate will be turned off.

• Thank you for your interest. If you attempt to brew a single cup after brewing a full carafe, the keep warm plate will stop heating. The keep warm plate does not turn on if only brewing a single cup, however.
