If you are referring to the Classic 575 and the Designer 650(sometimes referred to as 8 Speed blender) which are both sold at Best Buy then there are some major advantages. Both have the same motor power and 8 year warranty. The Classic will be produce a lot more noise from the motor and doesn't have all the preprogrammed cyles. Meaning, if you want to make a hot soup or green juice you'll need to be more hands on and push multiple buttons with the Classic 575 whereas the Designer is a one touch and let it run.
