Q: Questionis there a major advantage from the 5 series to the 8 series blendtec?
Asked by DrFeelgood.
- A:Answer If you are referring to the Classic 575 and the Designer 650(sometimes referred to as 8 Speed blender) which are both sold at Best Buy then there are some major advantages. Both have the same motor power and 8 year warranty. The Classic will be produce a lot more noise from the motor and doesn't have all the preprogrammed cyles. Meaning, if you want to make a hot soup or green juice you'll need to be more hands on and push multiple buttons with the Classic 575 whereas the Designer is a one touch and let it run.

Q: QuestionInterested in making "Hot Soups" and "Ice Cream". Would this one be the best choice??Is this the one still on sale?Thank You!!
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer All of our blenders can make Hot Soup and Ice Cream, but this model would take a little more work than our Designer 650(also sold at Best Buy). The Designer 650 acutally has preprogrammed settings specifically for Soups and Ice Cream whereas the Classic 575 would require you to use 2 cycles of the "90 second" button in order to make a soup.
