“Can this blender grind nuts, and seeds, like chia and flax seeds into a smooth powder?”

• Yes it will. When grinding seeds into a flour or powder use manual speeds, the higher the speed the finer the powder the lower the speed the more course. Nuts you can turn into butter easy but I would recommend the Twister jar from blendtec as an accessory. With the twister jar, I can make cashew butter or fresh peanut butter in under 40 seconds whereas in the regular jar it takes 3-4 minutes because of stopping and scraping the jar.

• I had no problem blending any nuts into powder, but I had a hard time turning almonds into almond butter after the powder phase. The lack of a tamper left the mixture not as well mixed as my Vitamix.
