The Module 2 doesn't affect the battery life whatsoever. The Blink cameras are battery operated themselves so other than a wifi connection they are completely independent of each other. Make sure to use Energizer Lithium batteries by the way. They come supplied with the cameras but i recommended purchasing your own. When i set mine up. 2 cameras went dead after about 5-6 months and the other 1 lasted for at least a year longer
