• A:Answer Assuming a fairly standard home (single building, no unusually dense construction materials), the Sync Module should be able to communicate with Blink camera units up to 100ft away in any direction. As far as how far away the system can be from the wireless router that would depend on the strength of your internet/WIFI, we recommend at least three bars of signal strength for optimal performance. We recommend positioning your Sync Module in a central location, where it can receive equally good signals from your Wi-Fi router and your cameras. The Blink System would work with a wifi extender

• A:Answer The Blink Outdoor 3-camera system/kit would ship with 3 Blink Outdoor cameras and the sync module 2. We do also ship each camera with a mount, mounting hardware screws and batteries and the sync module would ship with the correct power cord and adapter.

• A:Answer Yes the Blink camera has good night vision capabilities that are adjustable. Don’t place camera within three feet or so of another object (side of house, pole etc) or you will get glare back blocking your view when in night vision.

Q: QuestionWe installed all 5 cameras and added them on the BLINK app but why can't I view all 5 at the same time? Do I have to click on each camera one at a time to see the live view?

• A:Answer There is not currently a way to access the live view from multiple cameras at once, you would have to go to each camera individually within the APP to access the live view.

• A:Answer I too live in rural area with horrible WiFi reception. Installed google mesh which has made a tremendous difference! We have log home which totally blocks WiFi to outside. With the mesh the blink cameras are working fabulous outdoors! Currently they are approximately 300 feet from hub & no problem. Windchill temp went down below zero last night & cameras still working! Bottom line is how far your WiFi is able to reach at your home. Hope this helps

• A:Answer Currently Blink only integrates with IFTTT and Amazon Alexa-enabled devices. While the Blink System does integrate with the Amazon Alexa enabled devices you do not need one of these devices to operate the Blink System. The Blink App is currently compatible with any iOS mobile devices running version 10.3 or higher, Android mobile devices running version 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher and Fire OS mobile devices, running software version 5.1 or higher.

• A:Answer The Blink Outdoor camera is compatible with local storage functionality, which allows you to back up videos in your home to the Sync Module 2 when you insert a USB flash drive. Additionally, you can use the Battery Expansion Pack-coming soon- with Outdoor, to allow your camera to run on four batteries instead of two, extending battery life by up to two extra years. The Blink Outdoor cameras come with a free trial of the new Blink Cloud Subscription Service valid through December 31, 2020 in US/CA at which time you can choose to continue the Cloud Subscription Service for a nominal fee, or purchase/use the new Blink Sync module2 and compatible USB flash drive for local storage (flash drive sold separately). If you elect not do either of these you can still use these cameras to access live view and receive motion alerts however no videos would be recorded.

• A:Answer The battery-operated Blink cameras are shipped with two non-rechargeable AA 1.5v Lithium batteries and they’re easy to replace when the time comes. Simply open the battery compartment, take out the old batteries, and insert the new set. Blink camera batteries should be replaced by Energizer Ultimate 1.5v Lithium AA batteries or the equivalent. You’ll want to avoid using AA Lithium Ion or Li-ion batteries as these will carry a higher voltage and may cause issues with your camera. You also want to avoid Alkaline based and rechargeable batteries, as they may cause issues with your camera.

• A:Answer All Blink cameras require a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi Internet connection. The cameras use Wi-Fi to send images and notifications so you can view them from the Blink app on your mobile device. At minimum, Blink systems need a connection of at least 2 Mbps upload speed. Wi-Fi is also important for Blink cameras that need to connect to a Sync Module on the same Wi-Fi network. The Sync Module is the hub between the Blink app, Blink Servers and your camera. Without an internet connection, this data exchange is not possible. Note: The Blink Mini, Wired Floodlight, and Video Doorbell do not require a Sync Module to function, but do require a local Wi-Fi signal.
