Q: QuestionCan this be installed on a brick wall?

• A:Answer yes but you have to use the correct drill bit and anchor. i would suggest purchasing the better quality wall mounts they offer separately with the 360 degree rotation and weather guard, because the ones you get in the package with the camera are a little cheap and don't provide the best protection for the camera outside

Q: QuestionI live in Wisconsin. Winters get cold, sometimes -20°. Can these cameras adapt to these colder temps? What are the working temps for outdoors/winter snow & storms?

• A:Answer I had this camera for two years it was pretty cold in Chicago this year and last so I think it should be fine they sale protector for the cameras as well on amazon.

• A:Answer Light weight. Probably less than 2 pounds. I was surprised how light they are and how easy they are to install. These cameras are awesome. They have put me at ease when my 81 year old father is outside feeding his animals. I get alerted when he goes out and when he comes in the house. I can watch him live to make sure he is ok. I will be ordering more soon.

• A:Answer The cameras need to be in proximity of the "brain" the brain should be between the camera and the wireless router. I have a pretty big house with lots of walls and the cameras all connect with no glitches. The router is in the family room and the brain is centrally located in the middle of the house.

• A:Answer With regular use*, your Blink cameras will last a very, very long time on a single set of 2 AA lithium batteries. This incredibly long battery life is made possible through a proprietary chip technology available only in Blink cameras. *Two AA lithium metal batteries last up to two years, based on typical use of Live View, motion-activated recording, and two-way talk (only available on XT2). Battery life will vary based on device settings, use, and environmental factors. Use of two-way talk will reduce battery life. The cameras are shipped with two non-rechargeable AA 1.5v Lithium batteries. Blink camera batteries should be replaced by Energizer Ultimate 1.5v Lithium AA batteries or the equivalent.

• A:Answer Two AA lithium metal batteries last up to two years, based on typical use of Live View, motion-activated recording, and two-way talk (only available on XT2). Battery life will vary based on device settings, use, and environmental factors. Use of two-way talk will reduce battery life. The USB port on the back of the camera can be used with a MicroUSB cable and power adapter (not included with your camera) to power your cameras rather than using batteries. The Blink cameras are not shipped with rechargeable batteries and we do not recommend using rechargeable batteries as they may cause issues with the cameras. The Blink cameras are shipped with two non-rechargeable AA 1.5v Lithium batteries and they’re easy to replace when the time comes. Blink camera batteries should be replaced by Energizer Ultimate 1.5v Lithium AA batteries or the equivalent. Two-way audio can be enabled while in Live View in the Blink app and is in real time.

• A:Answer I'm not sure what you mean by "to the monitors", but these cameras have both speakers and microphones. You will be able to talk with someone who is physically in range of the camera. You must initiate the conversation from the smartphone app though, and this leads to scaring the crap out of the person who you will be trying to talk to. They will have no idea that you are going to initiate a conversation until they hear your voice. Unless they quickly figure out where the voice is coming from you may truly frighten them.

• A:Answer There are not any monthly fees with the Blink Camera Systems. You can have up to 10 Blink devices per sync module as long as they are all within the 100ft operating range of the sync module in any direction. The cameras on the sync module can be in any combination.

• A:Answer A mounting bracket is included that requires two screws to mount to a vertical surface. I don't think it would work well for a dresser or table. The cameras will stand on their own. A quick internet search returns aftermarket products for different mounting needs.

• A:Answer I wish it was because it keeps losing signal and its plugged in right next to my router its getting to be a pain someone rang my doorbell and the signal went so i couldnt see who it was or talk to them through the app had to go down 3 flights of stairs cause i dont just buzz anyone in my building thats the reason i bought it in the first place

• A:Answer This is sort of a loaded question because it will really depend on obstructions between the camera and the sync module (ie. lots of walls, a concrete/brick wall, appliances, etc.). The farthest camera that I have from a sync module is about 75 feet with 5 walls in between and it stays consistent in the yellow WiFi connection bars on the app.
