Unfortunately the specs don't indicate if this phone is GSM or CDMA compliant. Based on the carrier compatibility, I would say this phone works with the GSM standard. This means your phone can access 4G LTE (data) using your Verizon SIM but it might not be able to use the Verizon cellular network for voice calls. This is from PCMag: "On Verizon and AT&T, 4G devices that haven't been certified by the carrier have trouble making voice calls or sending text messages over that network. They'll connect and get data, but can't make calls." I hope that helps.
