Any time you purchase an unlocked phone you don't have to worry about having the phone activated. If the phone supports your carrier's network bands, all you have to do is put your sim card into the phone. The google setup process will walk you through the transfer process .

Boost has sold their business to Dish Network which is going to be using the T Mobile Network. This device will work on AT&T and T Mobile, so check with Boost to see which network they are now using.
