• A:Answer I use it with my iPhone to record. I just needed a USB to Thunderbolt adapter and it was as easy as plugging it in.

• A:Answer Hello, ArizonaKid! Yes, the Yeti has two different patterns that you could use called Omnidirectional or Bidirectional. Omnidirectional is going to pick up from all sides of the microphone while bidirectional is going to pick up on the front and back of the microphone. Bidirectional is optimal for podcast settings. Q: QuestionIf you have this on your desk and use speakers for game sound, will the mic pick up the sound from the speakers or will it just pick up your voice sound? I do not want to use a headset for sound. Thanks.

I recommend downloading the Blue Sherpa software for firmware updates, adjustments to the sample rate, and level monitoring/adjustments. I recommend checking your levels before you go live, and the Blue Sherpa software will be useful to do so. Q: QuestionI would like to use a Yeti microphone with my 2020 Macbook Air, latest Big Sur OS. Mainly it will be for Zoom / Adobe Connect interactive webinars. Can I still use bluetooth earbuds for output and only set the Yeti as the input device in System Prefs?

• A:Answer A standard USB-C to USB-A adapter should be the adapter you need. The microphone should have came with a Mini USB to USB-A cable, the Mini USB part going into the microphone and the USB-A going into the adapter.

Q: QuestionI want to buy this for Zoom video calls. Do I absolutely need to plug in headphones so that the mike doesn't pick up feedback from the Zoom call. Also, is it so sensitive that it will pick up the sound of my central air conditioning or small fan?

• A:Answer Zoom is pretty smart and recognizes the output sound versus the input sound, to make sure the two don't interfere, so no a headset is not necessary to prevent feedback. The Yeti has 4 different sound pickup patterns you can test to make sure your AC is not being picked up, but generally this is not a problem we encounter. I use the Yeti without headphones all day and haven't had issues with feedback or it picking up the sound from my own central AC.
