• yes everything you need to start using it is in the box will need replacement filters later

• The unit has everything you need to start. You may have to buy replacement secondary filter for next year. The unit works great.

• Everything you need is in the box including two different color pre-filters that you slip over the main filter unit (like a giant sock).
