So, I first tried just wetting the pad with water and cleaner. Let it go in a 10'x10' area. Didn't do much. So, I sprayed some cleaner in spots where I could visibly see dirt stains on the linoleum. Still didn't do much. See pic after about 30 minutes of "mopping". I suspect unless you are a complete neat freak and just want it to pick up additional dust, then its a waste of time. I will NOT be using the "mop" attachment again. However, it cleans pretty good as a vacuum, so I'm keeping it. There are some robots out there that you fill up and some even spray as they go. I may buy one of those for the kitchen in the future. They may even work on the hardwood in other parts of the house. Just don't buy this one for wet mopping! See pic.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Barely. So far, its the only thing that is very disappointing. It comes with a clip on attachment that attaches under the dirt bin. It has velcro on the bottom of it. The velcro holds a thin pad, approximately 7 inches long and maybe 1.5 inches wide at the middle. It is curved to follow the arc of the circle, so it tapers off at both ends. Im not sure how much cleaner it could even hold, but I can't imagine it staying damp long enough to even mop a 1/2 bath. I just got this a couple days ago and have only vacuumed a few times. The mop feature along with it being a super deal in a daily deal pushed me over the edge in my decision to buy it. Obviously this is a big let down for me. And I now understand why the description does not really even talk about the mop. I am going to experiment with it in the coming week, but i am not holding my breath. First, I'll just wet the pad and see how it does. Second, I'm going to try a slightly damp pad and use a spray bottle to lightly wet the floor with a cleaning solution. I don't think theres anything left to try after that other than returning it and trying a different brand. I think I get a full 30 days before my return period ends as an elite best buy member, so at least I don't have to rush thru it and can give it an honest effort. And I'll have time to compare competitor prices too. Be dumb to return it if other brands mop good but vacuum for crap. I am satified with vacuuming so far, but i haven't even attempted to program yet. Going to go search youtube now and see if there are any good training videos to learn from. Check back in a week!
