Yes, there is a bag that will need to be replaced. It is located in the charging station. Once the robot has vacuumed it returns to the charging station and transfers the dirt/debris to the bag in the charging station.

Depending on the model, yes there is a bag that traps all the dirt when the robot vacuum returns to its base, this bag can hold a lot of dirt in it & i have yet to replace it but everyones dirt levels are different.

I think the bagless is referring to the robot vacuum not the base station where it sucks out the dirt from the robot.

See pictures of the unit i have. Different color but same concept. 
The one that i purchased was given as a gift to a friend.

There is a bag. It also comes with an extra one. I reuse mine. It is easy to empty yourself.
