- Answer Yes, there is a bag that will need to be replaced. It is located in the charging station. Once the robot has vacuumed it returns to the charging station and transfers the dirt/debris to the bag in the charging station.

- Answer Yes. This sweeper has big wheels that allow it to transition to and from different flooring types such as hardwood, vinyl, carpet and rugs. It says not to use it with shag rugs, but we have not had any issues with our shag rug. This little vacuum does great transitioning from all types of flooring.

- Answer Yes but if you have a lot of dog hair, you'll be emptying manually. It tends to clog and prevents automatic empty. I think cat hair would be fine. Also note- it will suck up things into the inside of the machine where the circuit boards are. There's no way to get it out unless you take it apart which voids the warranty.

- Answer If it was made so parts didn’t just fall off it would. This vacuum the brush that gets the edges comes of if anything touches it. If the brush lightly touches anything it comes off. I don’t see this working as it should in any area

- Answer Doesn’t do well using basic setup with shag carpet, but they telll you how to modify so it will work. As to transitions, I m guessing if you modify it for shag it should transition fine, you would have to judge if tile cleaning is the same quality.
