Why does the TiVo Bolt have the arched/bent shape? null

I suspect the arch is there to facilitate cooling. There is a sizable air intake on the underside of the Bolt and warm air exhaust on the backside. Powerful-but-quiet fans draw air through the unit. Even so, the Bolt can get quite warm.

It's bent to allow for air cooling.

Style/look and heat ventilation. Also, I believe it's so you cannot stack other devices on top of it.
