“our internet is better during the day so if we record a show from Netflix during the day can we play it back at night when internet is lousy?”

• You can't record a show from Netflix. If you have cable, then you can record shows from there. If you have OTA then you record from there. Not from an app.

• If it is stored on the device it does not require internet.
