• The Tivo Bolt does have 2 USB 2 ports plus an e-sata port for external storage

• Yes you can add an external USB hard drive for additional storage. I do not know if your particular hard drive is compatible or not. TIVO has a list of compatible hard drives on their web site and a tech support number for questions.
