Yes, this unit records shows directly from your antenna. It has an antenna input and a HDMI output for your TV. It does require a $7 per month or $70 per year or $250 for lifetime fee to use the TV guide service that allows you to set up your recordings..

We had to return the TIVO and ordered the correct one. The setup will take some time but the TIVO will walk you through it. We are happy with the ability to record over the air channels. With WIFI there’s a lot more options.
