It can do internet streaming very well but it is not what most people use a TiVo for. It's great for recording your favorite shows (any hour of the day) and time shifting the recording. You should go to tivo(dot)com for all the TiVo features. I don't know Spectrum, I have Comcast. To use it with Comcast, all I had to do is get a CableCard, put it in the TiVo, get the CableCard paired.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.works great been a Tivo customer for several years now and I also have Spectrum..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I too have Spectrum. It interfaces pretty well. The main thing that you won't have is the On Demand content. I don't miss it much because I have Netflix and Amazon Prime Video so I can see so much on these two platforms. But if I didn't have these, it would be a real hangup. I did have an issue with it stopping recordings during the previews from next week at the end of the shows. It would cut off about the last 30 seconds or so. I did find in Tivo that there is a setting where you can adjust all recording to automatically start or stop a designated amount of time early or late. This solved the problem. I also had an issue where I wasn't getting a couple channels that should have been available to me. One was the Cox Sports. Even though I lived in one market I had to set the market to receive to another. This worked and I didn't lose any channels or have different times. All the channels are on the correct numbers. It worked flawlessly, but just thought it was weird and worth mentioning. I'm overall happy with Tivo. There is an issue where the Mini Voxes start on different channels than I left them on. I don't know if that is a Spectrum or a Tivo issue. Either way it is my biggest complaint. It sucks with that. Also, the Mini Voxes (not the DVR) will only stay one for 4 hours at a time if you aren't changing channels and then they go into power saver mode. If you're like me and sleep with a TV on, and need the background noise, this is an issue as it cuts off in the middle of the night. This wakes me up and I have to get it out of sleep mode and on a channel that I can fall back asleep to. They can't or won't change it. I've called Tivo about 100 times. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have Comcast Cable, once I got their cable card it sync up with the TIVO. I did have to call Comcast's Tivo Support to receive the premium movie channels (HBO< Showtime etc).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If your Cable provider has Cable Cards then their service will work with this Tivo SCU, most Cable cards cost between Free and 4.99 a month to rent. The price will be based on your Providers terms.
