You should be able to simply get an external USB drive. a Terabyte drive. I would suggest a drive of 7200 RPM because a 5400 RPM may be too slow for streaming video playback and recoding. Especially, if you are playing back AND recoding at the same time.

Please try again later.Hi Bille2, I purchased a Western Digital 1TB external esata drive and it works just fine with my unit - the downside is that once you couple the two devices, decoupling will result in near total loss of all of your recorded material. It's not just a straightforward, "one fills up and then the system automatically switches to the external disk for more space" model. Hope this helps.
