The menus, guide, storage capacity, number of tuners, everything about the tivo is superior. And the roamio cost includes a lifetime subscription to the service. So, for around $60 more (on sale, best buy matches online retailers) you get the real McCoy. You're going to have this thing for a while, don't cheap out and get something inferior!
