• Not a product defect, the case is not meant to do that.

• I don't believe so, mine does the same. I don't think it's designed for it. The device should shut down automatically after some time though depending on your settings.

• No the device itself doesnt support the Auto Wake / Sleep functionality. Im sorry :-( After dancing circles with Samsing and never getting a straight answer, I went to best buy and we tried several covers only to find none of them work.

• No, mine doesn't and neither does my boyfriend's. I think only the official Samsung ones will put it to sleep for now.

• your tablet should have a automatic shut down mine goes out in 1 1/2 min if no activity then you have to wake it up cover only protects tablet from dust etc and to carry around
