Outlook not good. Boost does use the Sprint Network, and the iPhone 6s is on the list of compatible phones here: https://activate.boostmobile.com/bring-your-phone. However; since as you state, it is locked, it cannot be switched until Sprint performs a domestic unlock, which you can read about here: https://www.sprint.com/en/support/solutions/device/faqs-about-unlocking-your-sprint-device.html.
