It has " OpitDry@ " which senses when the unit is low on rinse aid and automatically increases the drying time. They recommend use of a rinse aid to ensure more complete drying. It also has " Extra dry heat " which raises the temperature of the rinse water and increases the drying time to improve drying. Our unit on normal wash with a rinse aid produces very dry dishes. Only water is puddled on cup bottoms, I.e. normal places.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was told by a sales agent at another appliance retailer that NONE of the Bosch dishwashers have heating elements. And yet, according to Consumer Reports, they all rate "Very Good" or "Excellent" at drying. Their top 5 rated dishwashers (out of about 110 dishwashers they rated) are all Bosch. Here they are in descending order: #1 SHE3AR72UC (overall score 88). #2 SHX3AR75UC (88 points) #3 500 DLX Series SHP865WD5N (85 points), #4 300 DLX Series SHS863WD5N (85 points), and #5 300 Series SHX863WD5N (85 points). Consumer Report's #1 and #2 rated dishwashers are "Very Good" at drying. The next 3 are rated as "Excellent" at drying. I know the SHP865WD5N (#3 rated) actually opens the door near the end of the drying cycle to let steam escape.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No heating element. Don't remember drying system. It works but things may still be wet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This model will heat the water in Sanitize mode to approx. 160 degrees. For best result open the door just a bit after the dishwasher has finished washing and sanitizing, this will release the steam from inside the dishwasher and dry the dishes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, as stated by the Bosch employee, this model has heated drying.
