I have the 300 series and it does pretty good, no complaints. If you want the best, go with the 800 series with a crystal dry option. Manufacturer recommends rinse aid, but if you have soft water already, you should try without rinse aid and see if that works for you. I would say if you have soft water and if your crystal dry option works well, no point of using rinse aid.

Plastics can still be safely washed and dried on the bottom rack or anywhere in the unit. Bosch recommends Finish Quantum tablets and Finish Rinse Aid.
