QuestionAm I the only one who finds the controls complicated? Starting the machine requires 4 or 5 steps. I When it’s done you have to turn power off manually (really). You have to hit off to turn off lighted display every time.

- Answer We have this and don't have any issues with starting it. It's usually 3 buttons: On, Normal, and Start. When it's done, the whole thing turns off for us. So we turn it on at night when we go to bed, and by the morning, it's done and the whole thing is off. Check your manual because there's a setting to automatically turn it off when done. It's called "Auto Power Off". Hope that helps!

- Answer Hi there, thank you for your question. Bosch dishwasher’s do not offer a fine china cycle. Several Bosch dishwasher’s do offer a delicate cycle, but this model does not. Please note that using higher temperatures and longer cycle times can damage your fine china and/or glassware.

- Answer I don't have a meter, but I had to check the lights to see if it was on. I couldn't hear it running until absolutely everything in the house was off, then it was very faint, low hum.

QuestionWhat is the advantage of having 3 racks?

- Answer The 3rd rack allows you to put your silverware up there evenly spaced and gets everything cleaned. Moving the silverware up there allows you to fill the bottom rack with more dishware.

- Answer very easy to access. on the bottom of the tub, two black triangle mark how to lock it in. Turn, take out, rinse, put back in, done.

- Answer My Bosch dishwasher certainly has a traditional heating element to dry after the wash. I know this because long after the wash action stops, the energy consumption spikes. Soon after steam begins to escape from the unit. The dishes are blistering hot and bone dry. That doesn't happen without a heating element. And I can find no way of turning it off. I wish to air-dry my dishes, and can't seem to find a way to do that.

- Answer Hi there. Thank you for your question. The 300 Series Stainless Steel Dishwasher, model SHEM63W55N is not fingerprint resistant. Our new model SHXM4AY55N does have a fingerprint resistant stainless steel finish.

QuestionA lot of reviews are saying that there is a bad smell issue. Has this been corrected ?

- Answer Hi Mike. Thank you for your question. Water testing is done in the factory on 100% of our dishwashers. Occasionally water may still appear in dishwasher at purchase which may create an odor. If odor still persists, run the Normal/ Regular cycle until it flushes and interrupt the cycle and place an 8 oz. cup of distilled white vinegar solution on the upper rack and lower rack and then finish the cycle.

- Answer These washers have an upper nozzle, and middle and lower paddles arms. Although I am one of those people that essentially cleans my dishes before they go into the dishwasher, I believe that it always works very well on everything I put in, from cutting boards to pots and pans to plates to utensils. I cannot say that I have ever been in a situation where I've tried the baked lasagna test, but I feel confident that it would work as well as any other model or brand.

- Answer Hi there. Thank you for your question. There are several suggestions. Make certain to use Rinse Aid, always use the Sanitize Option for your Rinse. If you are washing a large amount of plastic items, alternate them with glass to help them dry. Make certain to not block the Condensation Port on the left side of the dishwasher, placing cookie sheets and cutting boards on the other side. Also, don't open the dishwasher door during the drying cycle as this will stop the drying process. You can also refer to the Use and Care Manual to make certain the dishwasher is using the appropriate amount of Rinse Aid during each cycle. - Answer No it does not have a disposal. It has a triple stage filter that needs to occasionally be cleaned

- Answer Hi Chase, thank you for your question and interest in Model:SHEM63W55N. With the Bosch Dishwasher, you can place your dishes on the bottom, top or half and half for a half load. The Dishwasher will sense where the dishes are located.

QuestionI have heard that Bosch is a good dishwasher. I hear that many times dishes are still wet. Some suggestions were to use a rinse aid. Question #1 Which Bosch dries your dishes the best? And #2: Do you have to use a rinse aid if you have soft water?

- Answer Recently purchased a Bosch and initially used the gel dishwasher soap that we had left over. Using the gel and rinse aid in the our new Bosch, some of the dishes were wet and had some food residue on them. We are now using Finish Powerball Quantum tabs with rinse aid and the results are drastically different. The dishes consistently come out dry and clean. We have found using the recommended soap works well with how the dishwasher works to get the desired results.

QuestionCan you wash plastic in Bosch 300 dishwasher

- Answer I wash all kinds of plastic and lids in my Bosch and they come out clean every time. You can wash lids and plastics on top or bottom racks. The old dishwashers with heating elements for drying on the bottom would warp plastic and that is why many items still say "top rack dishwasher safe". But since a Bosch uses condensation drying and not a heating element, it does not matter what rack they are on.
