• Yes it has a junction box that needs to be hardwired. But any electrician should be able to help you out by either putting a plug on the end, or pulling the outlet off the wall and running wires to the unit.

• If your old dishwasher plugs into a regular 110v outlet don't use the supplied cord with junction box. You should buy the plug in power cord, Bosch part number SMZPC002UC.
