Please try again later.It will definitely fit in a 30" opening, but I sincerely doubt you'll be able to use the "kit" (I assume you mean hanger rack) that came with your GE. I have hung three separate units in that opening above my stove and none have been able to use either the same hanger rack or the holes in the cabinet above. My first was a GE, second an LG and this one a Whirlpool. Three unique installations. Use the templates and the installation is pretty straight forward. Have a helper with you when you install it though. It's heavy.
