• It is amazingly quiet. There is a red light that shines on the kitchen floor when it is running because you can not hear it. All I hear is an occasional running of water as it fills, washes and empties.

• Yes its really quiet! You can hear the water moving around, but not the dishwasher itself.

• Yes, it is so quiet that you will not know it is on. My sister has this dishwasher and a concrete floor in her kitchen, and I still cannot tell it is on when I am at her house.
