Agree with the first answer and have always wanted the configuration you've referenced. However, experience and additional research led us to conclude that a combo ice/water unit in the door is simply problematic. The aforementioned features split between the door and ice cabinet is far superior. In addition, we couldn't believe how awesome the ice cubes are in this unit. All perfectly round, do not stick to each other, and extremely easy to scoop out of the drawer that is provide = so much so we don't even use the scooper. We just slide the glass into the ice pan area and scoop up the ice cubes that way.
