“Why did Bosch shrink the size of the silverware basket? We have a Bosch dishwasher at our home and we are looking to purchase one for a vacation home. The silverware basket is small and cheaply made… what happened?”

I agree not right I just happen to still have my old ge profile dishwasher I took the rack from it works great!!

I recently bought a new Bosch dishwasher and thought it was the same as my previous one which had the larger basket. I called salesperson that I bought from to ask why basket is so small. His response was “most people wanted more room in the lower rack” (I think this is baloney, just cheaper to manufacture.) He also said people “like” using the third rack (top) for silverware. The convenience of having the bigger basket allowed me to pick up the basket with all the silverware and move it near to silverware drawer. Disappointed with Bosch. (Also, no “rinse” cycle button and I don’t want to have to use my phone to set this up. But that’s for another post. Ridiculous!) Very disappointed with Bosch. Won’t buy again
