I looked up the difference to find out and decided on the 800, it does dry really well. I would suggest looking it up. I can't believe how clean my dishes are. I used to rinse them and never put pans in it, I don't rinse now and wash pans and I am super impressed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The 800 includes the Crystal Dry Zeolite drying option that is supposed to dry plastics better. The 500 opens the door to aid drying. I haven't found that Crystal Dry is any more effective in drying that using the Sanitize Option with the "Extended Dry" option, a combination that is available on the 500. Be aware though that there are complaints about the 500's control panel cracking.
