QuestionCompare the Bosch Dishwasher 300, 500, and 800 series. What makes them different?

- Answer The primary difference between them is the price and the features they offer. While they are all quiet, the 800 series is the quietest with a 39-42 dBA silence rating. I think the recessed handle becomes available in the 300 and 500 series. There is a "MYWAY rack which is adjustable, and a third rack for utensils and flatware on the top, which I don't think the 300 and 500 series have. In the 500 and 800 series, it has auto-dry. The 800 is considered one of the best dishwashers of 2019, and I would agree. There is a model that is rated even higher, but also has a price tag to match ($2000+). I am extremely happy with my 800.

QuestionWe're replacing a dishwasher that was hardwired. Does this come with the power cord that has the terminal box attached to it?

- Answer There is a modular plug (provided with the dishwasher) that can be used on either side of the dishwasher so no matter what side your power supply is. The modular plug is pre-wired to a box, it is from this box you would tie in the hard wire from your old unit. NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE NO POWER GOING TO THE KITCHEN AREA THE IS INTENDED FOR THE DISHWASHER UNTIL YOUR INSTALLATION IS COMPLETE.

QuestionMy old Bosch (4 years) has an indicator light on the floor while running but it is white and shows a digital clock off remaining time. (On the floor) Not a red dot. Which is this one? Just a dot or does it give remaining time as well? Thank you!

- Answer The time on the display is actually in hours. So 1:00 is 1 hour, 2:00 is 2 hours, 2:30 is 2 and a half hours.

QuestionI got my dishwasher without the installation manual ( bought it new) Does any one know how to install the bottom panel? the panel has two holes that need to screw somewhere but it's not to the dishwasher because the dishwasher doesn't have the two holes.

QuestionHow do you clean the filter?

- Answer YOu just grab the protruding trap on the floor of the machine and turn. We haven't done it since we got the machine. I used to have to pull and clean daily with my old kitchen aid. Most food seems to just go down the hole with the Bosch though and only really large things get stuck.

- Answer Woohoo, you do realize that kitchen counters are not even 26" in depth?!! You might be able to fit it on the diagonal but thats a huge pan that no residential dishwasher could easily fit. Large stock pots yes.. The prongs are short so they let you be flexible in placing things. They don't get in the way as much. Plus you can raise and lower the middle rack. I'm wondering if you made a mistake with the 18 x 26 pan measurement. Sounds like you are in commercial baking. My large pans from the restaurant supply are 13 x 18.

QuestionWe have a whole house water softener. Will this work ok with this dishwasher because we use less detergent etc? I also wondered with the rinse aid, if it had a way of recognizing that it wouldn’t need as much due to our softener.

- Answer I have a whole house softener as well, but the water in my area is so hard that I get mineral deposits on everything. I recommend using pods and a rinsing agent.
