Don’t know the Kitchenaid except that we had an old 25 year old model that ran forever with no maintenance. But we decided on the Bosch because of the high ratings and we love it! So quiet, lots of loading options, love the 3rd rack on top for,odd utensils, etc. Also lots of cycle options for our family of 2 that doesn’t make a lot of dishes.

The Bosch is just awful for so many reasons. The Kitchen Aid’s rungs where you place your dishes will work, the Bosch rungs cause most dishes and bowls to fall over. Ridiculous! And no dryer is a real problem. And the cycle is over 2-1/2 hours long! How does that save energy? I am so disappointed it hurts. I want to cry. The water left on the opened door after I unload my dishes proves how ridiculous this machine is.

I thought the KitchenAid 3rd rack was not as well designed as the one in the Bosch dishwasher. Also, the racks in the KitchenAid unit seemed to be of lesser quality. Plus, every review I read seemed to indicate that the Bosch dishwashers held up better and required less maintenance. I bought the Bosch 800 series and am very pleased.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I also was torn between Bosch and Kitchen Aid. I went with Bosch because they have better stats on repairs and are quieter. Only had it 3 months. It works great but there is design trade off for drying. Kitchen Aid uses heating coil to dry dishes and vents air into kitchen. Works well. Bosch uses condensate drying on interior of dishwasher and pumps to drain. I live in Houston so I don’t need more humidity. Went with Bosch
