“Is there a way to mount this flush against the back wall? I have old, shallow (about 22.5" front to back) cabinets and am hoping we can install this without it sticking out too far from the existing cabinetry.”

If your drain, supply, and power are all placed low enough to the floor, you can slide it flush to the rear wall.
