No it does not. For us, our water is soft enough that I don't need salt, the unit comes with a water hardness tester. We have used our dishwasher about a dozen times and zero spots, so test your water before you purchase dishwasher salt, you may not need it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I got mine as an open box item and while it had JetDry sample it did NOT have salt. I can't say for sure if you buy new. I purchased a 5Ibs bag and it probably took about 4 pound worth. Been using it since July and haven't had a salt refill yet, but that is also impacted by the hardness of your water.

Dishwasher salt is not included, and the water hardness setting determines how much softener salt is dispensed during the cycle. You can find an overview of the water hardness values that can be selected and additional information about the water softening system on page 23 of the Use & Care manual, available to download on Bosch's website. You can also purchase softener salt on this site by searching for part #00469559 or SGZ9091UC. Feel free to call our customer care team at 1-800-944-2904 with any questions. Thank you for choosing Bosch.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is a dish washer not a water softener, it does not have an onboard salt bank.
