Hi Charlie, thank you for your question and interest in Model:HEI8056U. This does not have a built-in ventilation system. Bosch has several ventilation options that are designs matches recommended for this range: chimney wall hoods, under-cabinet range hoods, custom insert hoods, pull-out hoods and over-the-range microwaves.
