- Answer Hi, thanks for the great question. The Acoustimass 300 system will only work with the SoundTouch 300. Also, 151SE speakers can only be used with an amplifier like an SA-5 or a standalone receiver. Regards, Tony - Bose Support

QuestionHow can the sound output be improved? Connected to zone 2 of yamaha rx-v483 via Niles SS-4, the setting on the A/V is for 8-ohm, and I have to set the volume very high in order to listen nicely, thought they would sound louder and bass deeper.

QuestionBose 151 speakers are reading 3.6 ohms each with an ohm meter. How do I configure for 8 ohm operation? Manual says 151's rated at 4-8 ohms. My 8 ohm Sonos Connect Amp is overheating.

- Answer I have the same setup with no issues. What makes you say your Sonos Amp is over heating? My guess is either you Amp is bad or you have a cable issue. What size cable are you using?

- Answer Hi Rickco, thanks for your interest in the 151 SE Environmental Speakers! These speakers can play your iTunes collection by connecting to our SoundTouch SA-5 Amplifier for power. Once you connect the SA-5 to the 151 speakers with standard speaker wire, the amplifier can send music to the speakers. QuestionI have two Bose 151 speakers that I purchased in 1995. they have been working like champs outside for 22 years. Last year they quite working (both of them). Does Bose have a repair shop or offer a warranty?

- Answer I am not aware of a Bose repair shop as such. I’ve owned Bose for decades and simply used them until I wore out the product. Then simply replaced w new. Receommend you do the same.

- Answer Not sure about speaker stands but since they are environmental (meaning outdoor speakers) I mounted them to the wall on my lanai. They do come with wall mounting brackets that can be adjusted to different angles.

QuestionI got these speakers to replace 15 year old model of bose 151. the new ones will not fit into old mounting bracket. Is there an adapter out there to convert so I do not have to drill more holes in my house.

- Answer Hello Bubbaleen. Thank you for your question. The specific speaker wiring we recommend, depends on the length of wire you need. We recommend the following: 0-20ft (6m) length = 18gauge(0.82mm²) 20ft(6m) - 30ft(9m) length = 16gauge(1.30mm²) 30ft(9m) - 50ft(15m) length = 14gauge(2.10mm²) Hope this helps to answer your question!
