- Answer Thanks for your question! The 251 speakers are not wireless. They require speaker wires to connect them to a receiver or amplifier (to power the speakers). The 251’s are compatible with a receiver or amplifier rated from 10-200 watts per channel at 4-8 ohms. To play music from your computer through the speakers you would need to connect an audio cable from your computer to the receiver or amplifier. Generally this would require a 3.5 mm to RCA cable to connect the audio output of your computer to an available input on the receiver. QuestionWe are looking at Bose 251 speakers outdoors in a setting seating about 75-100 persons. The speakers will mount on a 1" or 1 1/4" vertical pipe. Can I get a bracket to mount the speakers to a vertical pipe? How high is best to locate speakers?

- Answer Hello SMS, The 251 speakers should be mounted using the supplied brackets. They can be mounted onto the exterior of a house or onto a deck railing or table. If you choose not use the supplied brackets, be sure to choose a sturdy, level surface for the speakers. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact our Support Line at 1800-379-2073.
