“I'm embarrassed to ask this. We just connected our Bose 500 subwoofer to our Bose 500 soundbar. Is sound supposed to come out of the subwoofer, or does the subwoofer simply change the quality of the sound coming out of the soundbar?”

The Bass Module 500 produces low frequency, bass audio. You'll be able to hear this perform best when watching action movies, or deep bass-filled music. If you require assistance with the product, please reach out to us and we'd be glad to help you out.

You can also turn on the Dialogue mode through the Bose Music app and you will have better sound quality for the dialogues. The Bass module enhances the sound effects especially the Bass during high octane action scenes and music.
