Wondering why my Bose module 500 has static sound? null

I’m not sure why it has static but the one I bought also had static. I noticed the static in mine was because the power cord connector into the box was loose and when I pushed the cord in and held it in place the static stopped. So I took it back to Best Buy and explained the problem. Because the woofer was still under the 90 days from purchase date I was able to return it in exchange for another one. It’s looking to be that maybe that model type woofers are defective. I would say go to the store and exchange it.
