The Bose Soundbar 500 and Bose Soundbar 700 and the Bose Bass Module 500 and Bose Bass Module 700 all use the same wireless protocols and can be mixed and matched (e.g., a Bose Soundbar 700 wirelessly paired with a Bose Bass Module 500 or a Bose Soundbar 500 with a Bose Bass Module 700). Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it can. We had to call Tech Support to figure it out, but essentially you place the 500 speaker in the same "Group" as your 700. Works just fine, with one exception. If you are watching TV (ours is a Samsung Q8LED) there is a 5 second delay between the soundbar and the 500. Bose is aware and working on a solution, and will email us when they have a fix, which should download right away. Works great for internet music just as it is, just the TV issue.
