• I would definitely not turn the speaker on its side. You would loose the sound effects.

• I don't think it is possible to use the sound bar by it self, but it could be stood on its side.

• I doubt u can use small speaker alone. Power cord is conneted to woofer which is wired to small speaker.

• Thank you for asking. The Cinemate 15 system is designed to use the bass module to function properly. It provides the power to the soundbar. While we can recommend the Solo systems that do not use a bass module, they are intended to lay flat for optimal sound performance.
