This system hooks up to an iMac through the 1/8" headphone jack, so they will hook up to the headphone jack on a MacBook that way too.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.i don't believe they will work with a USB. They use the standard 3.5mm audio cable to connect with so you can connect them to the headphone jack.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm using them with my MacBook Pro, but they use the headphone adapter, not a USB. This is a better way to do it since you can use standard cords for extension options and still use the volume controls built into your Mac.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use this with my 13.3 in. macbook pro and it works and sounds amazing. Last time i tried spotify in Cozumel, MX and it didnt work. I'm sure there are other online music sites you can use internationally.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Companion 20's do not use the USB version of audio output, they use the an AUX. if you mean you want to power them using a USB then unfortunately that won't work either, they must be plugged into a wall outlet. however, they will work with you mac. it will work with anything with an AUX connection and an ability to play sound. if you want them to play loud home audio system status than i recommend you not get these, and go for either the companion 5's or the Cinemate GS series II those are so much better and worth the investment. however if you looking for some speakers for your rom and than these are more than perfect, you can have a party in your room now, or in your living room. house party? go for any of the other two(just using a party as an example, because i use mine for that). as for spotify, you can now download it in mexico. just got to spotify.com and at the bottom of the site there is a flag and a country name. clock on it, see list of all countries and choose mexico.
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Companion 20 speakers would actually connect to the headphone output of your laptop (not USB) with the included audio cable. We hope this helps!
