It does plug in the same way you would plug the headphone cable. I don't think my Mom with arthritis could do it due to the small size of the cover on the headset more then using the case. If you have the headset and have plugged it into the cable the case isn't any harder to do. I hope that helps a little.

Please try again later.There's a connector inside the case that plugs into the headset, I'm not sure if this would be difficult with your disability, the connector is about 3 inchs long with a plug at the end, you can pull it out to plug in your headset, I hope this helps you
