I love love love these earbuds - until my ear, canals get totally itchy and enflames. I have a latex and adhesive allergy and these earbuds have caused me nothing but problems. I wanted them to work solo bad that I tested for 3 weeks, letting ears heal then trying one at a time - the same allergic reaction happened every time. So very sad because everything but the $250 price tage was awesome... Hope this helps
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is crazy I am just googling this issue now. I have a severe latex allergy as well. I can handle touching latex but if it is for any time from for more than 10 min, I am burning, swelling and itching as well. I also have an insanely amount of liquid in my ear canals when I wear the pods, and when i take them out after the bruning sensation goes away and I can sleep, its as if my ears dry up to normal. I literally was thinking i had an issue with my ears bc every said it was silicone. This is a major default in the R&D team of apple considering latex allergy is a common issue. So is there any way around it? are there other ear inserts that will fit the airpods that are not latex?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a latex allergy as well. Ive been told these are latex free; however, every time I try them again it never fails that my ears blister up. So I have blisters all up and down my ear canal. I am assuming it’s late text unless we are allergic to something else, I wish I could use them. I use psoriasin and a topical steroid afterwards which soothes and heals them, But nowadays The reaction has been so bad I just can’t wear them. Bummer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Mandy, Thanks for the question. The ear tips for the sleepbuds are made of silicone. There is not latex in the product. Regards, Tony G - Bose Support
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The earbuds are made of a latex-type soft material. I'm not allergic to latex that I know of, but my ear canals are a bit itchy after I take them out. This is unlike Apply Airpods that are made of a harder material & my ears don't feel itchy at all after having them in. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am allergic to latex also, silicone isn't always safe alternative.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have 3 sets of these and love them. However I was having ear problems including swelling and oozing. I stopped using them and it stopped. I started back and it started. I tried them in one ear and had a.problem only in that ear. I wear them at night so they are in there for a while but no doubt there is some ingredient that is not good for me. I have other ear buds with zero problems. One note..it seems the white plugs are more problematic than the black ones.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The earbuds are 100% silicone
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.i'm reading it's nickel allery most likely
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.latex needs tk be advertised. I had no clue what was going on and just realized it was connected to when I wear my ear buds which totally sucks!
